About
Northern Poppy is a wedding and event florist proudly serving midwest couples in the greater Minneapolis/St. Paul Twin Cities area as well as Eau Claire and western Wisconsin. Our work combines a beautiful blend of playful, elegant, and warm garden style designs to create an aesthetic that radiates the incredible joy and love that make your wedding day so special.
We also value sustainability and supporting local businesses in our community, which is why we use sustainably sourced blooms from local flower farmers and American growers when possible. Not only is this good for our local communities, it’s good for you! Blooms sourced closer to home are fresh and hardy, which means exceptional quality for your designs.
Our mission is to not just meet but exceed your expectations by providing beautiful, professionally designed flowers for your most memorable events and by making the planning process simple, easy, and fun. Even though planning your wedding can be an exciting time, it’s also a lot to take on. We get that. We’ll ensure gorgeous blooms shine on your wedding day so you can focus on the special moments you’ll want to remember for a lifetime.
Most of all, though, we love Love. We love spreading happiness and beauty through flowers; and we believe the world needs more of all of these.

Meet Danielle
Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here!
A little bit about me— I couldn’t pick just ONE thing to be when I grew up, so I am many! Wife, mom (to one beautiful little boy), pediatric Speech Language Pathologist, Wedding Florist, and more.
I’ve always been a creative person and I love nature and flowers. I’ve grown up planting flowers, touring my grandmas’ flower beds whenever I go for visits, and have worked at various greenhouses and flower shops throughout high school and college. After college I moved away and had to leave my flower shop job, but knew I still needed to keep flowers in my life somehow.
With this love of flowers and a passion for serving others, Northern Poppy was born! I have loved designing for couples and helping them celebrate their love stories for 4 years now.
Each wedding is just as special as the last, and I am excited to continue growing this beautiful business, life, and to celebrate many more love stories in the years to come.
These are a few of my favorite things…
I don’t know about you, but I value working with vendors I can connect with, who feel more like a friend than someone pushing a product or a service on me. I enjoy getting to know people, my brides and grooms, and other vendors I work with.
